Modern secular feminists claim that the Scriptures were written by men who believed women were their property, and thus the Scriptures couldn’t be inspired by God—or if they were, this “God” must be a misogynist, as that’s how the Scriptures portray him. As believers, how do we deal with these objections to Christianity and the Scriptures? How do we understand some of the difficult biblical passages that appear, on the surface, to denigrate women?
